    Ina is an incredible Spanish tutor. I have been taking lessons with her for the past 3 months. I’ve previously taken Spanish lessons as an adult and have struggled and given up, but she has been able to really make a difference and break through. Not only have I improved my Spanish skills but she has also improved my confidence. She is positive, giving me words of encouragement when I stumble over words and offers compassion and empathy, which makes a big difference! She encourages me to practice on my own and to do homework because it really does make a difference even if it's just 10 mins a day. I like how our sessions are friendly and it helps me feel more relaxed and comfortable. She is always kind and patient when we have to repeat an exercise if needed.     I've been learning Spanish with Ina since January 2020. She helped me prepare for a trip to Guatemala where I would be spending time with folks who didn't speak any English by giving me conversational questions and responses. I came back for more structured learning because Ina is a true professional but still lots of fun. If you're lucky, you will get to meet her cute teaching prop Bruno! Ina's able to evaluate her students' levels and tailor their lessons accordingly.

    Ina is the best Spanish tutor I have ever had! I have been taking lessons with her for about 9 months and I have made immense progress in my Spanish. I took Spanish lessons in the past, and the information never seemed to stick, however after working with her my friends and family have even noticed how much I've improved/continue to improve.     Ina is absolutely wonderful! I simply can not think of a single time where I’ve been disappointed with her teaching quality and approach. She also happens to be a very warm and wonderful exceptional person. Ina is very clear in her teaching and incredibly patient. She is very willing to review grammar as frequently as I need to. I was raised with a grandparent and a parent who spoke Spanish to each other but discouraged the kids from speaking Spanish. This caused some very bad habits on my part and some shame that impacted my readiness to learn Spanish. However, I made a commitment when I turned sixty to finally learn Spanish! I fund Ina on the internet about a year ago and am SO happy I did. I am extremely pleased with my progress and have Ina to thank.     When Covid started in March 2020 I had a lot of time on my hands so I decided to dust off the cobwebs from my high school Spanish brain cells, buy a workbook and start studying Spanish on my own. I was fairly consistent with this for a year, using workbooks and the internet. I felt that my progress was going slower than expected, and I realized I actually needed to SPEAK Spanish in order to progress faster. I searched online for a teacher for one on one online instruction and found Ina. This has been the greatest decision. Ina determined my level of Spanish and we began lessons from there. Every minute of the lesson is beneficial. We speak back and forth in Spanish and she gently corrects me when necessary. We also use the workbook she requires so there is always homework to go over. She is always on time and there is no time wasted during the lesson. Ina is also very nice and easy to work with. She was my first ever Zoom meeting! I highly recommend her if you want to begin learning Spanish or take your current knowledge to the next level.

    I highly recommend Ina! I am a registered nurse and have been very interested in learning Spanish so I can better interact with my patients. My only language background is a few years of long-forgotten high school French, and I was quite intimidated at the thought of being an adult and starting from scratch. I started my lessons earlier this year and Ina made and still makes me feel comfortable. Ina adjusts her lessons and teaching style based on your goals-mine is conversational Spanish. She focuses on this, but also challenges me to learn language composition and other components outside of just conversation. She accommodates my crazy schedule and is very flexible with lesson times and dates. Ina is kind, approachable, and personable-if you are thinking about trying to learn a new language (even as an adult) definitely give her a call!

    I have been a student with Christina for 8 months so far. She took me from knowing very little Spanish to speaking Spanish comfortably at my work in the pharmacy. We have many patients who only speak Spanish, so my drive to help them brought me to Christina. I'm not fluent; I still have a while to get to Spanish conversation level, but that is what is expected when learning a language. It takes years to get fluent. Because I'm in my first year, she emphasises 'gramatica' so you learn all the tenses/ verb conjugations. I see her twice a week in 2 hour sessions, and I need to emphasize the importance of seeing her or any teacher consistently because if you don't use it, you lose it. I went on vacation for 10 days and came back to her, and it took a a whole week to get back to speed. She pushes you hard and is strict, but that is my preference in a teacher. I need structure and pressure to continue my learning. You need to do homework as well. Usually, she gives you a few pages so it's not bad. What I love about her is her drive to want you to succeed. She will spend as long as needed to solidify certain subjects until you feel comfortable. For example, I had an issue learning present subjunctive and proper usage of it. She spent three to four weeks on me with example after example pushing me until it finally clicked. I like how flexible she is with scheduling, she tries to accommodate you. She even does skype / video chat if you are traveling or unable to make it to see her. Personally, I prefer in person, so I haven't video chatted. I took Spanish classes to level three at school. I noticed having her as a teacher has taken my Spanish learning to such a high level than college/ high school classes. Her price is affordable, and she is a top notch teacher. She tries her best to get you to your goals, but you also need to be prepare to work hard as well. Good luck on your Spanish learning journey, and I hope this review helped you.
